But- the truth is that majority of people that vote Democrat - do it for their own self interest. Gays vote Democrat - because they want gay
marriage. What do all these things have in common? Self interest! Here is a history lesson. The signers of the Declaration of Independence for the cause of freedom..... risked their wealth, businesses, property, families and lives. One signer said: "I was determined to see how they all looked as they signed what might be their death warrant." Many were wealthy and they defied a country (Britain) for freedom. What you did not learn in history class is that the British targeted them for capture, burned their homes, destroyed their businesses and a few spent time in prison.... Carter Braxton- a wealthy planter and trader saw just about every shipping vessel in which he held an interest sunk or captured by the British. John Hart- his fields and his property were ruined. For more than a year he lived in forests and caves as a fugitive. Richard Stockton- was captured by the British and treated with brutality. His home was destroyed, his library, one of the best in the country, was burned, and his lands were ruined. He died at the age of 51 in poverty. Thomas Heyward, Jr. - was taken prisoner to St. Augustine, Florida, where he was imprisoned for a year. Most of what he owned was destroyed. Other countries Europe, Africa, China.....have been around for thousands of years - but America in less than 250 years has surpassed them all in every aspect and the world despises America for that. Not much larger than Australia- we are the richest, most powerful and most charitable country the world has ever known. We have liberated millions from tyranny.... People from all over the world have come here and made themselves a success... Why could they not do it in their own country? The reason is they did not have freedom... Freedom is what makes this country great - not socialism. Barack Obama wants to fundamentally change America.... so it no longer resembles America.... One Obama supporter looked into the camera and said that
because of Barack Obama- she did not have to worry about putting gas in
her car or paying her mortgage anymore. Patriotic means putting your country first, doing what is best for your country despite your own self interest... It is not about you! The truth is that the majority of Democrats vote out of self interest and nothing else and that is not patriotic. If the signers of the Declaration of Independence had been liberals and did what was in their self interest - they would have saved themselves and grown their own wealth and let the British rule. They could have let the British pay off their homes, give them land, give them money, never have to work again, secure their families lives and financial future for generations... they could have been bought. But instead- they unselfishly sacrificed
for the cause of freedom!
